The Commissioning CCPP Manager is responsible for overseeing the commissioning, start-up, and operation of a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) to ensure that it operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role requires a hands-on approach to lead and manage the plant's operational and maintenance staff and coordinate with other functional groups, including maintenance, engineering, and safety.


Some of your duties will include:

Manage the commissioning and start-up of a new CCPP, ensuring that the equipment and systems are installed, tested, and operated according to design specifications and industry standards.
Lead the operation and maintenance of the CCPP, including the gas turbine, steam turbine, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), balance of plant (BOP), and other systems to meet production targets and operating efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Manage plant personnel, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling to ensure an adequate and competent workforce to meet operational demands.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure maintenance activities are carried out efficiently, timely and cost-effectively.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as vendors, suppliers, contractors, and customers to ensure quality service and optimal plant performance.
Provide regular reports on plant performance and KPIs, identify trends, and recommend improvements to optimize plant operations.
Undertake negotiation for budgets and financial plans with relevant groups and individuals in ways that build commitment to the plans.
Review cost management issues and identify improvements.
Manage Department’s Budget, identify issues, and propose improvements.
Establishes systems to ensure that the organization' continuous improvement processes are communicated to all stakeholders.
Develop effective mentoring and coaching processes to ensure that individuals and teams are able to implement and support the organisation' continuous improvement processes.
Identifies Consider areas for further improvement when undertaking future planning.
Drive sustainable environmental performance improvement.
Ensure proper implementation of company's Environmental Management System [EMS].
Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.
Carry out regular inspection, safety meetings to address plant safety.

Prepare and sign off inspection reports.
Report on every hazard accidents and incidents.
Provide required resources to achieve the compliance of plant operation safety laws and regulations.
Drive sustainable plant safety performance improvement.
Ensure the implementation of company's Safety Management System.
Recommend improvements to optimize plant operations.
Other duties as assigned




What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in CCPP operation, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a management/supervisory role for a large scale Power Plant or energy projects, preferably within a Combined Cycle Power Plant construction environment.
Proven track record of managing and leading engineering teams, ensuring that all activities are completed to the required quality standards, and within budget and schedule constraints.
Strong knowledge of CCPP equipment, systems, and operations.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing the commissioning phase of CCPP projects, including a deep understanding of the operational dynamics and technical requirements of such plants.
Knowledge and practical experience in the commissioning, operation, or maintenance of coal-fired power stations, providing a broad base in traditional power generation technologies.
Specific experience with Siemens turbines, which may include installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with GIS Switch Rooms: Understanding of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) technology, including experience in commissioning, operating, or maintaining GIS switch rooms.
Familiarity with international standards, codes, and regulations governing the design and construction of Combined Cycle Power Plants
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Proficiency in using engineering design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
Understanding of risk management principles and the ability to identify and mitigate project risks
Willing to be based at site with regular working days; Possibility to relocate family.
