Some of your duties will include:
To be the point of knowledge in the control room for operation of the gas turbines, HRSG's and steam turbines so generation demand is met in an efficient, reliable and safe manner.
Monitor all operational parameters of power plant systems to assure in normal and in safety manner.
Performs as Control Room Specialist Operator in the CCPP Plant Control Room.
Maintains a motivated and productive staff by assisting the Shift Supervisor with performance management and employee development and training.
Provide guidance and instruction to Control Room Operators and plant Field Operators.
Assists with conducting weekly shift meetings to cover facility operations, safety, and work rules.
Conducts operations to comply with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
Perform all phases of gas turbine/steam turbine/generator/HRSG operation from turning gear to on-line including routine valve and over speed test.
Utilize Distributed Control System (DCS) to monitor and control plant parameters, functions and corrective action for any DCS Alarm.
Utilize SCADA to monitor Site Load System including incoming and outgoing feeder breaker.
Take corrective action when needed or directs Control Room Operators and/or plant Field Operator to check for a problem at the equipment.
Troubleshoots systems/equipment and makes recommendations to Supervisor.
Analyses unit performance on a regular basis and notifies Shift Supervisor or Superintendent Operation of any deteriorating trends or conditions.
Ensures that units and emissions control equipment are operated in a manner to prevent any excess emissions.
Ensure safety of personnel and protection of equipment when starting or putting equipment in service.
Keep the Shift Supervisor and Operations Superintendent informed of facility operating status and equipment problems.
Maintains accurate records and submits all required reports in a timely manner. Ensuring all logbook entries are accurate, complete, and done in a timely manner.
Serves as secondary facility contact (acting Plant Manager) during non-business hours when the Shift Supervisor is away from the Power Plant or is absent.
Maintains good communications with internal and external customers to ensure equipment is safely removed from service for repairs with minimum impact to operating schedule.
Performs plant isolations/de-isolations as per LOTO/PTW procedure to ensure safety for work to be undertaken on plant equipment.
Switch LV and HV electrical equipment as required during operation and/or to support LOTO/PTW isolations.
Liaise and coordinate with LNG plant Operators.
Liaise and coordinate with Coal Power Plant Operators.
Produce Procedures and Instructions as required to safety operate the plant.
Responsible for recording all plant related events in written form, highlighting any abnormalities and risks to plant availability. Ensuring that such information is communicated to Shift Supervisor and during shift handover.
Act as Operations Shift Supervisor as required.
Work to increase job knowledge and managerial skill in preparation to advance to Shift Supervisor or to control room specialist level.
Maintains First Aid, CPR, and Fire Brigade qualification.
Assists other functional areas as the workload requires. Strives to gain proficiency in areas outside of normal position requirements.
Takes a lead role in contributing to facility profitability by eliminating wasted materials and supplies and maintaining high personal productivity.
Carry out regular inspection, safety meetings to address plant safety.
Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.
Responsibility for the safety operation of all facilities, infrastructures, plants, and equipment assigned to his/her supervision.
Other duties as assigned.


What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5 years’ in similar role in Combined Cycle Power Plant.
Computer literacy with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook software.
Advanced knowledge of the typical plant layout, equipment, and systems of a combined cycle power plant/coal fired power plant.
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) sufficient to undertake this role.
Meets all Indonesia legal requirements for operating a high-pressure boiler
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.
