AYANA Hospitality is seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Butcher to join our team at AYANA Komodo. As a Commis Butcher, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meats according to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
Receive and inspect meat deliveries to ensure freshness and quality
Prepare cuts of meat according to established standards
Trim, bone, tie, and grind meats as needed
Assist with the preparation of meat products such as sausages and cured meats
Maintain a clean and organized butchery area
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
Requirements
Previous experience as a Commis Butcher or similar role
Knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper butchery techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent required, culinary school or formal culinary training preferred
