We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead and oversee construction projects within our mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, particularly within the mining industry, and will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

 Project Management:

Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects.

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless project execution.

 Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor a team of construction professionals, including project managers, supervisors, and contractors.

Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

 Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all construction activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Implement and monitor safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

 Quality Control:

Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes.

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

 Stakeholder Management:

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.

 Resource Management:

Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.

Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

 Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in the mining industry.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in project management software and tools.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in the mining industry.

Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to challenging work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with international mining projects.

Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and environmental regulations.
