SUPERINTENDENT QA/QC PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Sumbawa Barat NTB

Some of your duties will include:

Responsible for overseeing the quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes for project construction within a mining company. This role ensures that all construction activities adhere to the highest standards of quality and comply with project specifications, industry regulations, and company policies.

Act as QA/QC management representative and provide support on technical, administrative, and management activities from tender preparation, execution of the project construction, to handover process and completion.

Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects. Manage for development and maintain departmental plans that are pro-active in planning to ensure that the day-to-day construction needs are met while counterbalancing the strict project and control requirements in line with Indonesian or higher standards;

Ensure that construction activities accordance to project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage of reviewing and updating departmental procedures and policies, administers discipline, enforces company policy, and ensures compliance with state, federal, or other jurisdictional laws.

Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations on-site.

Manage for development, establish, implement and maintain departmental policy, procedures and systems relate to QA/QC, and monitor the adherence of these procedures within company and its Business Partners. Ensure all QA/QC activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Develop and enforce sound and practical standard operational and task procedures of QA/QC, which fit the global standards while ensuring a continually improving approach on assurance and control of projects. 

Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are maintained; Review and approve inspection and test reports, and coordinate corrective actions when deficiencies are identified; Liaise with third-party inspectors and testing agencies as required.

Sets goals and coordinates the activities of the department reports in the field related to QA/QC of project construction milestone target and completion sequences are accomplished.

Maintain comprehensive records of quality control activities, inspections, and test results; Prepare and submit regular QA/QC reports, including summaries of findings and recommendations for improvement; Ensure all quality documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for audits and reviews.

Identify opportunities for improving quality assurance and control processes and practices. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the overall quality of construction projects. Participate in post-project reviews to evaluate quality performance and identify lessons learned.

Lead and mentor a team of QA/QC inspectors and supervisors, providing guidance and support as needed; Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues and ensure project objectives are met; Organize and conduct training sessions on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

 

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in civil / building engineering from reputable university, Project & Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.

Minimum 12 years project-based Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QA/ QC) within the general construction sector. Having minimum QA/QC in commercial or residential buildings for 7 - 10 years.

At least 5 years in a similar or equivalent position as Superintendent QA/QC in Building Projects & Facilities Construction. 

Have substantial experience in the domestic, residential and commercial project, light industrial construction industry. Must have project and construction knowledge on building (Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing); Ability to read & analyse Architectural/Civil/MEP/Structural drawings is required;

Possess leadership traits and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; computer literate. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quality management and reporting.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards. Proven experience in managing QA/QC teams and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Extensive in project and construction management plan & system; have working knowledge in Architectural, Civil & Structural/ MEP building principles, design concepts & developments; familiar with application of ISO 9001; be able to provide reporting;
