Superintendent - Environment Operations PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Sumbawa Barat NTB

Some of your duties will include:

Responsible for overseeing the environmental performance of operations and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in operations and maintenance activity : ensuring that all activities comply with local, national, and international environmental regulations; developing and implementing environmental management systems, monitoring site emissions, waste management, and engaging in proactive measures to reduce the environmental footprint of the business process, and continuously improves sustainability practices.

To minimize the project's impact on the environment, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure that all environmental permits and requirements are met.

Ensure the Operations and Maintenance activity adheres to all local, state, and federal environmental regulations, permits, and standards.

Liaise with the Environmental Department to implement and oversee environmental monitoring programs to assess air quality, water quality, noise levels, and other environmental parameters.

Liaise with the Environmental Department to maintain all environmental permits and licenses required for the construction project, including permits related to emissions, wastewater, and land use.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential environmental issues and provide timely solutions to mitigate any negative impact.

Liaise with the environmental department to develop and implement environmental management plans, including erosion and sediment control, waste management, and spill response plans.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental monitoring, compliance, and incidents.

Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies as required.

Liaise with the environmental department to develop and implement emergency response plans for environmental incidents or accidents, ensuring the safety of personnel and the environment.

Engage with project stakeholders, the environmental department, and the local community to address concerns, provide updates, and build positive relationships.

Identify opportunities for sustainability and environmentally friendly practices within the construction project. Provide strategic advice to senior management on environmental risks, opportunities for improvement, and long-term sustainability goals.

What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus; with have 12 years of experiences in environmental management and compliance, with a focus on Operations & Maintenance activities in Mineral Processing/ Smelting/ Petrochemical/ Chemical industries;

Have minimum 5 years of experience as Superintendent/ Advisor Environment or similar role; Experience in copper or gold smelting operations or similar industries is highly preferred; Experience managing compliance with environmental regulations and leading environmental audits and inspections.

Relevant certifications in environmental management, such as Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar, are beneficial; ISO 14001 certification knowledge is an advantage.

In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements; Strong project management skills and the ability to lead a team; Proficiency in environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis.

Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; innovative.

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate
