We are looking for a highly skilled bookkeeper to join our team in Lombok Mataram, Indonesia, to support our operations remotely with a focus on Dutch customers.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage financial records and reporting for clients based in the Netherlands. The bookkeeper will be responsible for handling bookkeeping tasks, preparing VAT tax returns, year-end closing, and regular financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in English and Dutch (via a translator) and work with both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records for assigned customers in the Netherlands.
Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, income, and invoicing.
Draft VAT tax returns in compliance with Dutch tax regulations.
Prepare year-end closing balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and payable.
Provide internal and external reports to customers, explaining financial standing, discrepancies, or clarifications.
Work closely with the internal team and clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Assist with payroll, tax filings, and compliance with Dutch regulations.
Provide monthly updates to the internal team and clients on the financial performance of their business.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably with international clients.
Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting practices and tax regulations.
Experience with accounting software such as Exact Online, Odoo etc
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong communication skills in English; ability to work with Dutch (via a translator) is essential.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to draft and prepare VAT tax returns, as well as year-end financial reports.
Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Experience in financial reporting and communicating with customers about financial performance.
Preferred:

Experience working with Dutch businesses and accounting systems.

Familiarity with Dutch VAT and payroll procedures.
