JOB TITLE: FINANCE ASSISTANT



Job Summary:

As Finance Assistant you will support the financial operations of the firm by managing internal financial tasks and providing administrative support for client accounts. This role ensures the firm’s internal financial data is organised, tidy and reliable as well as contributes to client service delivery by ensuring financial records, reconciliations, and reports are accurate.


Key Responsibilities:



Internal Financial Operations:

Assist in managing the firm’s accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt payments to vendors and accurate invoicing monitoring.
Process employee expense claims and maintain accurate records for internal audits.
Record day-to-day internal financial transactions using accounting software and maintain accurate bookkeeping.


Client Support:

Assist in managing client accounts, including tracking client invoices and payments.
Support client financial reporting by preparing and maintaining accurate records.
Assist with tax filings and compliance for clients, ensuring all relevant financial documents are properly saved and available.


Reconciliations:

Assist in weekly reconciliations for the firm’s bank accounts and card statements.
Assist in reconciling client accounts and preparing documentation for financial reviews.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.


Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of financial reports for both internal use and for client projects, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Collaborate with the finance team to produce regular financial updates for management and client-facing teams.


Data Entry & Documentation:

Enter financial data into accounting software and ensure all entries are accurate and complete.
Organize and maintain both internal and client financial documentation.


Compliance & Policies:

Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and regulations.
Ensure all necessary documentation is readily available.


Skills and Qualifications:



Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Brevet AB is a plus.


Experience:

Minimum 1 year work experience.
Past working experience in an accounting firm or consultancy environment is a plus.
Familiarity with handling multiple accounts and financial reporting.


Technical Skills:

Minimum Intermediate level in English, verbal and written.
Past experience with accounting software's (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or industry-specific software) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling of financial data.


Soft Skills:

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
