Samara Lombok is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team based in South Lombok, Indonesia. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in optimizing budgets, evaluating plans, negotiating with contractors and vendors, and fostering professional relationships with clients and site managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Review construction plans and prepare detailed quantity requirements.
Analyze maintenance and material costs and evaluate contracts to secure the best possible deals.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Prepare comprehensive reports, including cost analysis, budgets, contracts, and risk assessments.
Implement risk management, cost control, and value engineering throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and expenditures.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
Forecast material costs for various stages of the project.
Develop tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, and other essential documentation.
Assess tenders from contractors and subcontractors, conducting negotiations when appropriate.
Procure or finalize agreements with contractors and/or subcontractors for construction services.
Prepare cost plans to facilitate practical designs in collaboration with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, managing measurements, valuations, and variations during contracts to ensure timely interim payments and the final account settlement.
Conduct monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs.
Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in general construction, with a focus on project cost management and control.
Advanced proficiency in computer skills, including AutoCAD (ACAD), SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Project.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze financial records and apply data-driven strategies for improved project results.
Aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reporting.
Extensive experience in developing and adhering to strict budgets.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, pricing, and industry standards.
Experience in villa and resort projects is an advantage.
Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and strategic thinking abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to work independently.
