Agronomist Manager Samara Lombok NTB

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Agronomist Manager to join our team in Lombok. This role will focus on overseeing plant health, pest control, sustainable agricultural practices, and composting processes across two large operational areas. Our Landscape and Food Production departments are integral to our mission, and we’re looking for a passionate professional to ensure high standards in these areas using organic-only practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Health Management: Oversee the health and vitality of crops, plants, and soil across our operational sites, focusing on organic disease prevention and control

Organic Pest Control: Develop, implement, and monitor integrated pest management (IPM) strategies aligned with organic standards to protect crops and maintain a healthy ecosystem

Soil and Fertility Management: Evaluate and improve soil fertility through organic methods, including soil testing, organic amendments, and natural nutrient management

Green Waste Composting: Oversee and monitor on-site composting of green waste, ensuring effective decomposition processes to produce high-quality compost for soil health

Drone Monitoring: Utilise drones for aerial monitoring of field conditions, plant health, and other site evaluations to improve productivity and efficiency

Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team to carry out best practices in agronomy, pest control, composting, and landscape management, with a focus on organic methods

Sustainable Agriculture Practices: Implement eco-friendly, organic practices to reduce environmental impact, enhance biodiversity, and support sustainable growth

Data and Reporting: Monitor and analyse agronomic and composting data, preparing regular reports on plant health, pest control efficiency, compost quality, and crop productivity

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with both the Landscape and Food Production teams to ensure cohesive and efficient operations

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in agronomy, pest management, or crop production, with a focus on organic practices and experience in a managerial or supervisory role

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of organic pest control, plant nutrition, soil health, and composting processes. Familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices is essential

Languages: Fluency in Indonesian is required, proficiency in English is ideal

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lombok, Indonesia
