Some of your duties will include:
The Supervisor Scaffolding will oversee and ensure the safe and efficient erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures for the Process Expansion Project in a mineral processing plant. This includes coordinating with engineering, construction, and safety teams to meet project schedules and safety standards. The role also involves leading a team of scaffolding workers to execute tasks aligned with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to develop scaffolding requirements.
Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment for scaffolding works.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate scaffolding activities into the project timeline.
Supervise and manage scaffolding erection, modification, and dismantling on-site; Conduct routine inspections to ensure structural stability, compliance, and quality; Provide technical guidance to scaffolding teams to address challenges during installation or modifications.
Enforce strict adherence to company and regulatory safety standards (e.g., OSHA, local mining regulations); Identify and mitigate potential hazards related to scaffolding activities; Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for scaffolding teams.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of scaffolding inspections, incident reports, and safety audits; Prepare daily progress reports and submit them to the Construction Manager; Ensure inventory of scaffolding materials and equipment is well-maintained and documented.
Train workers in scaffolding techniques, safety practices, and the proper use of tools.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment among scaffolding crews.
What skills and experience do you need?
Tertiary degree or equivalent with extensive experiences in scaffolding supervision work in construction/ EPC Project, mining mineral processing plant or heavy industrial sectors.
Have minimum of 7 years of experience in supervision roles as Supervisor Scaffolding
Have certification in scaffolding (e.g., CISRS, TUV, or other recognized scaffolding qualification); Has in-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems, tools, and techniques; Familiarity with safety standards, including OSHA, MSHA, and local mining regulations.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scaffolding designs.
Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team; Problem-solving abilities to address on-site challenges efficiently.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate for reporting purposes.
Willingness to work in remote mining project locations on a rotational basis.
Fix Term Contract based.
