Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Gili Air, Indonesia
Introduction:
The Play Café is a magical garden on Gili Air, where every day is an adventure and every moment is filled with joy. At The Play Café, we invite families to relax as children explore our indoor and outdoor play areas, while adults unwind in comfortable surroundings, whether catching up with friends, working remotely, or simply enjoying a moment of tranquility.
The Play equipment and children's activities provided at the Play Cafe will be facilitated by a team of on sight nannies, trained by our sister organization, Bumi Kecil Kindergarten.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire a small team of 10 dedicated staff members to deliver exceptional service and create a welcoming environment for families.
Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure all team members perform their duties effectively and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
Schedule shifts and manage labor costs effectively.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellent customer service.
Operations Management:
Supervise daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and vendor relations.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain high food quality and service standards.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant premises to create a safe and inviting atmosphere for guests.
Financial Management:
Manage budgetary goals and financial performance targets, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability.
Manage restaurant budgets and expenses to achieve profitability targets.
Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Implement cost-control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review.
Customer Service Excellence:
Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional service and addressing any concerns or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Interact with guests to build rapport, gather feedback, and continually improve their café experience.
Menu Development and Quality Control:
Collaborate with the kitchen to develop and refine menus that reflect our commitment to healthy eating and quality ingredients.
Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and taste, adhering to established recipes and standards.
Community Engagement and Promotion:
Act as brand ambassador for the Play Cafe, engaging with the local community and fostering positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and drive revenue growth.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and drive sales.
Utilize social media platforms and other marketing channels to promote Play Cafe's unique business model.
Collaborate with the marketing team to organize special events and promotions.
Requirements:
Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a family-friendly or childcare-focused environment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and child safety practices.
Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory management.
Creativity and innovation in marketing and promotional activities.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Benefits:
