We are seeking a dedicated Finance & Accounting Manager to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll oversee daily financial operations, coordinate accounts payable and receivable, manage petty cash, and support crucial compliance efforts—all while collaborating closely with our Group Accounting Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage daily financial transactions, including journal entries, accounts payable, and receivable entries.
Ensure accuracy of expense entries on Xero, maintaining thorough documentation for all expenditures.
Collaborate with the Group Accounting Manager (GAM) on accounts payable reviews, providing weekly summaries and flagging any potential issues.
Coordinate with the Finance team on upcoming expenses or payments, supporting optimal cash flow and smooth financial operations.
Identify and escalate unexpected or out-of-budget expenses to the Finance team as necessary.
Oversee and manage the petty cash account and cash on hand to facilitate day-to-day operations.
Assist the GAM with weekly and monthly reconciliations, including end-of-month cash audits.
Provide financial projections for new business opportunities to support management’s decision-making.
Review compliance documentation to ensure alignment with current standards, preparing reports for the GAM on any identified gaps or improvement areas.
Support interactions with internal and external auditors to ensure all processes meet governance standards and principles.
 

Job Requirements:

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus on construction or real estate projects.
Skills and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and practices, with expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
Accuracy in managing financial data and conducting reconciliations to maintain reporting integrity.
Knowledge of compliance standards, with experience in audit processes.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, as well as Microsoft Excel.
Personal Qualities:

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Resilience under pressure, with the ability to handle multiple project-related tasks simultaneously.
High level of confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
