Some of your duties will include:

Provides Reliability and Maintenance Engineering expertise within the Process Planning & Strategy Department to ensure the continuous improvement of Process Department equipment reliability and infrastructure integrity; Responsible for developing and implementing reliability strategies to optimize the performance and efficiency of the mineral processing plant. The role supports Operations & Maintenance by focusing on predictive and preventative maintenance, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
Reliability Engineering & Analysis: Develop and implement reliability and maintenance strategies to improve plant performance; Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and propose corrective actions; Analyze historical equipment data to identify failure patterns and recommend interventions.
Maintenance Planning & Optimization : Collaborate with Operations & Maintenance teams to define maintenance schedules for critical assets; Evaluate the effectiveness of preventative maintenance programs and adjust as needed; Provide input on equipment design and modification to enhance reliability and maintainability; Provides engineering drawings/specifications; obtains construction bids; and performs construction management as required;
Process Strategy & Support: Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving throughput, recovery, and operational efficiency; Support cross-functional teams in developing plans for capacity expansion or operational adjustments; Implement asset management strategies aligned with ISO 55000 standards; Make important equipment and infrastructure reliability recommendations required to support improving machine maintenance and reliability improvements to minimize operating cost and minimize production losses. This is a critical position as mistakes may result in direct production loss;
Data Analysis & Reporting : Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR); Prepare and present reports on plant reliability performance to stakeholders; Utilize advanced tools such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and reliability software for data-driven decision-making; Performs all functions of RCA, FMECA, and Pareto analysis; Provides data interpretation with recommendations on vibration analysis, oil analysis, wear materials non-destructive testing, gear wear monitoring/failure analysis and equipment failure history analysis; Ensures that all work is properly documented, filed and recorded for future reference;
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, increase productivity, and lower operational costs; Champion a culture of reliability excellence within the department;


What skills and experience do you need?

Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 8 years’ experience in reliability maintenance in the large mining/ mineral concentrating or heavy industrial setting, or in a specialty area are necessary;
Has minimum 5 years’ experience working in similar role as Engineer – Reliability Maintenance with demonstrated experience in mineral processing plants, particularly in copper and gold operations, is highly desirable.
Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) program; Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluation; Ability to carry out RCA, FMECA & Pareto analysis;
Certification in Reliability Engineering (e.g., Certified Reliability Engineer by ASQ) is a plus.
Hands-on experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP).
Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound).
Familiarity with international standards for reliability and asset management (e.g., ISO 14224, ISO 55000).
Has Frontline level operational inspector certificate (POP) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.Certifications;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and presentation abilities; Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment; Proven leadership in driving change and influencing stakeholders; Time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards;
Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate (proficiently in MS Office and MS Project is a must).
