Amman Mineral Industri has a Copper Smelting unit located at the Sumbawa Island in Indonesia, comprising of Smelter with Flash Furnaces, Anode Plant, Electro Refinery, Sulphuric Acid Plant, Precious Metal Refinery as well as utilities such as Effluent and Sewage Treatment Plants. The smelters convert copper concentrate, received from the Batu Hijau mines in the same island, to copper anodes with purity of 99.5% which are then converted copper cathode with purity of 99.99% (LME ‘A’ grade) at the Electro Refinery. The off gases generated by the smelting process are converted to sulphuric acid of international standard having 98.5% concentration at the Sulphuric Acid Plant. Byproducts of the smelting process are purified to gold, silver, selenium group of metals at the Precious Metal Refinery.
What will you do?
To source and procure bulk materials, including chemicals and consumables as per actual requirement
Manage vendors and maintain optimum inventory of required specifications to support efficient operations of process plants and associated utilities.
Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships.
Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the Superior, sourcing suppliers base on price, requirement, availability, quality, and delivery cost.
Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirement:
Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering, or any related Education
Experience in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management
4-7 years in bulk procurement in process plants
Understanding of process plants and utilities
Good at Analytical ability
Have Commercial acumen
Have Knowledge of legal aspects of contracts and agreements
Have a basic understanding of Manufacturing Resource Planning or SAP.
Must be bilingual, able to speak and write good in English/ Bahasa Indonesia.
Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with high attention to detail
Ability to think strategically, assess market conditions, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Placement : Onsite - Sumbawa Barat, NTB
Working Schedule : Regular, Monday - Friday
